Novel Technologies for Behavior Change Design: Data-Driven Behavior Change: From Awareness > Understanding > Action

Today’s consumer and clinical tracking tools offer unprecedented views into what’s happening in our bodies. For people with Type 2 Diabetes, wearable Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) offer a novel and detailed view into their glycemic control. But while all this data does reveal more about what’s happening, it can’t always tell us why, or what to do next — and certainly can’t guide people through the ups and downs of a healthy behavior change journey. In this talk, we’ll share learnings from a large-scale research and design effort that aimed to do just that: to help people not only see, but understand, and act on their own wealth of health data. We’re thrilled to share our own learnings from the front lines, and to learn alongside others seeking to do the same.
