Health Experience Design 2021

To this point hospitals have taken a very insular approach to addressing the healthcare needs of underserved patients. While disruptive technologies like travel shopping websites, ride sharing apps, social media, and online retailers have changed nearly every facet of how we engage with the world, very little has changed with how we engage patients, especially non-white, non-English speaking communities. This talk will discuss two initiatives which heavily relied on collaboration with groups/individuals outside of the typical Community Health/Health Equity space to argue that more collaboration is not only necessary, but vital to bring about equitable care for all patients.
