Lauren Kotze is the Strategic Lead for Maternal Health and Early Childhood Development at Praekelt.org, an organization that uses mobile technology to solve some of the world's largest social problems, predominantly in the area of public health. Their flagship projects are the South African National Department of Health’s MomConnect, NurseConnect and ‘ContactNDOH’ – the Department’s COVID-19 WhatsApp bot. With a Service Design background, she is a passionate advocate of the end user always being at the centre of the design process, and ensures that projects are delivered using human-centred and agile approaches.
