Margaret Franckhauser, BSN, MS, MPH, is the Director of Aging Services at JSI. She has over 40 years of experience at the intersection of healthcare, aging and public health. An adult/geriatric nurse practitioner by background, she served as a clinician and community health administrator in both urban and rural public health settings.
For twenty years, Margaret served as CEO of a New Hampshire community health organization that offered clinical and supportive services to older adults in rural communities. She was instrumental in the community launch of the ServiceLink Resource Centers and the NH Public Health Networks. She served on dozens of state and community initiatives and boards, working with community service providers, governmental organizations and community stakeholders to arrive at sustainable, innovative solutions in community design, health policy, and service delivery.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Margaret has worked with the NH COVID Operations Center to reduce COVID transmission within and respond to outbreaks in congregate facilities including nursing homes, retirement communities, schools and childcare settings.
Margaret has a Masters in Primary Care Nursing from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
