Veronica X. Vela, DrPH, MEng, is a design and innovation leader focused on improving the health and well-being of communities.  She serves as the Director of Community Health Design + Innovation at Sibley Memorial Hospital, where she leads Sibley’s social innovation program and other strategic design initiatives within Johns Hopkins Medicine centered on advancing health equity in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Vela’s central focus is to make it easier for people to lead full and vibrant lives.
